On Internet Christian Forums

So, I went on Quora to try to answer some questions, because I like to answer questions.  Some questions were about the Bible, and I've noticed that lately, I've been more careful before answering them, just in case I actually get it wrong.  There's a Scripture verse about Bible teachers getting a stricter judgment (James 3:1)

Anyway, I tried the whole "prove all things" (I Thessalonians 5:21) on a couple of people, and found one that believes in the essentials lie, and another, I'm not too sure about, because she didn't cite a lot of Scripture.

I guess what I'm saying is that on Quora, like on other religious forums, such as Christian Chat, which I was on a lot back in the day, you will come across people of multiple denominations and interpretations of Scripture.  By definition, between all but one and all of them are false.  How in the world can I examine them all in detail?  I don't believe I can.

Perhaps the best strategy for me right now is to stay away from such forums and simply focus on Scripture.  This verse probably fits me:

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (Ephesians 4:14, KJV)

And probably this too:

“Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.” (1 Timothy 1:7, KJV)

I don't know.  I see I Thessalonians 5:21 and Ephesians 5:11 (on exposing the works of darkness) and I get all OCD about it, like I do other Scriptures.

The point is this:  There's a lot of false religion masquerading around as the Truth.  Please be discerning and "believe not every spirit" (see I John 4:1-6).
